An Evening of Native Storytelling: Traditional Salish Stories

Vance Home Gun, a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, will be sharing traditional Salish stories on February 20th at 5:30 in the Mansfield Library. Mr. Home Gun works for the Salish Pend dOreille Culture Committee on Salish language efforts and projects and was recently recognized in Washington D.C. in April of 2013 as a Champion of Change through the Center for Native American Youth for his preservation work regarding the Salish language and culture.
This event is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Library's Diversity Committee, and is supported with Student-Centered Innovative Project funds.
