In the Fall of 2000 the Flathead District of the US Forest Service inventoried a large section of the Ashley Creek Watershed.  The section they inventoried was known as the Island Unit (view maps below).  The results of the inventory have yet to be announced and are expected in mid-December.  Clicking on the link below will take you to the Flathead District's homepage for more information.
