Council Grove Research Natural Area is a 160 acre piece of the Lolo National Forest, located on the west side of Missoula, MT. The research natural area contains a segment of the Clark Fork River, a series of river overflow channels, and an assortment of riparian vegetation types representative of this part of the northern rockies. Migrating and nesting waterfowl are abundant and spawning trout use the gravel-lined channels within the area. Please contact Lolo National Forest for more information.
